In the case of HDPE bags, a medium to low MFI is generally preferred. A lower MFI indicates a higher molecular weight, which results in stronger and more durable bags. For example, a resin with an MFI between 0.3 and 1.0 g/10 min is often used for heavy – duty HDPE bags.

To ensure high tensile strength, we carefully select the HDPE resin and optimize the manufacturing process, including extrusion and cooling parameters.
Puncture Resistance
Puncture resistance is another important quality standard for HDPE bags. It refers to the ability of the bag to resist penetration by sharp objects. This is especially important for bags used to pack items with sharp edges or corners, such as tools or hardware.
The puncture resistance of HDPE bags is usually measured in joules. High – quality bags should be able to withstand a certain level of puncture force without tearing. For example, for bags used in light – industrial applications, a puncture resistance of at least 0.5 joules is desirable. For more demanding applications, such as the packaging of heavy construction materials, the puncture resistance may need to be 1 joule or higher.
To improve puncture resistance, we can add additives or use multi – layer manufacturing techniques. Additives can enhance the toughness of the HDPE material, while multi – layer construction can create a more complex structure that is more resistant to punctures.
Seal Strength

The seal strength is typically measured in Newtons per centimeter (N/cm). The seal should be able to withstand a certain amount of pulling force without opening. For heat – sealed HDPE bags, the seal strength should be at least 2 – 3 N/cm for light – duty applications, and 5 – 8 N/cm for heavy – duty applications.
During the sealing process, factors such as temperature, pressure, and sealing time need to be carefully controlled. We use advanced sealing equipment that allows for precise adjustment of these parameters to ensure consistent and strong seals.
Print Quality
In many cases, HDPE bags are used for promotional or branding purposes, and print quality becomes an important aspect of their overall quality. The print should be clear, sharp, and durable.
The ink used for printing on HDPE bags should be compatible with the HDPE material. It should adhere well to the bag surface and resist fading, scratching, and rubbing. The color accuracy of the print is also important, especially for brand – specific colors.
